The Campbell School of Highland Dance

www.glengarrybhoys.comThe Campbell School of Highland Dance was founded in 1987 under the direction of Kathleen Drummond, Moira Campbell, and Heather Sutherland, who all trained under the dance teacher, Marguerite Reid of Philadelphia.

The Campbell School is located in Maple Glen, PA, in Montgomery County, just outside Philadelphia.  With over 35 dancers ranging from 4 to 20 years old, the Campbell School is nationally known for its quality of dancing.  Dancers from the school have won a multitude of awards.

The school has produced dancers who have won the Eastern United States Championship 12 times.  Eight dancers competed at the United States National Championship in Saratoga Springs, NY, in July where several dancers received awards and also took first place in the choreography competition. The dancers recently returned from Scotland, where they won many medals including the Best Overseas Dancer at the Inverness Highland Games.
The school enjoys most of all performing at shows, festivals, and concerts where folks of all ethnicities can enjoy the beauty and grace of Highland dancing.  The dancers also exclusively dance with the Washington Memorial Pipe Band at various events throughout the year, including the Valley Forge Military Academy Tattoo.  The school can be contacted at cdrumm@aol.com or 215-641-8937.
